Applies to: Administrators configuring SmartVideo, and Agents handling Genesys Cloud Messaging interactions using the Interaction Widget.
What this feature does
Automated Invites automatically inserts a VideoEngager invite link into the agent’s draft message area when the agent clicks Invite (in the Interaction Widget).
The agent can review or edit the message before sending.
Quick summary
- Works in Messaging context interactions only

- Inserts the link into the draft message after the last text the agent typed
- The agent must still click Send (message is not auto-sent)
⚙️ Enable the setting (Admin)
- Open SmartVideo Settings.
- Go to PURECLOUD.
- Enable: Auto-Insert Video Invite Link.
- Click Save (if applicable).

Automatically inserts the VideoEngager call link into the agent’s message area when the Invite button is clicked. Works in messaging context interactions only. The agent can review or edit the message before sending.
🧑💻 How it works (Agent)
- Handle a Messaging interaction in Genesys Cloud.
- Type your message (optional).
- Click Invite inside the Interaction Widget.
- The video invite link is inserted into your draft message (after the last text you typed).
- Review or edit the message, then click Send.

📍 Important notes
- Messaging only: This feature works only in Messaging context interactions.
- Interaction Widget only: The Invite button must be used from the Interaction Widget (not other UI surfaces).
- Draft insertion: The link appears in the agent’s draft message area after the last typed text.
- Manual send required: The agent must click Send. The system does not auto-send messages.
